Justin Roiland, co-creator and executive producer of Adult Swim's popular animated series “Rick and Morty”, is no longer associated with the show following recent domestic violence allegations against him.
A spokesperson for Adult Swim announced that they have ended their association with Roiland, and the show will continue with the main characters being recast.
Roiland has also been charged with domestic battery and false imprisonment and faces up to 7 years in prison if convicted.
He is also a co-creator and executive producer of other animated series on Hulu, and it is not yet clear if he will remain involved in those shows.
Roiland's attorney has stated that he is innocent and expects the case to be dismissed.
