Green Day Side Project Pinhead Gunpowder Announces Fall Tour
Pinhead Gunpowder, the Bay Area punk side project featuring Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and longtime Green Day touring guitarist Jason White, has announced a 12-date fall North American tour dubbed the "Bum Rush" tour. The run kicks off October 7th in Minneapolis and includes stops in Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, New York, and Philadelphia before wrapping up with a West Coast leg in November, hitting Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Night Shop opens the Midwest and East Coast dates; Constant Insult handles the West Coast. Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster.
Osbournes Detail Plans For Interactive Ozzy Digital Avatar
The Osbourne family is partnering with digital entertainment company Hyperreal to create a digital avatar of Ozzy Osbourne. The singer's wife Sharon Osbourne and son Jack Osbourne shared details about the partnership during the Licensing Expo of 2026 in Las Vegas. Jack explained that Ozzy will exist "digitally as himself for as long as we have computers." He also said the avatar will be true to the real-life Prince of Darkness, responding to prompts the way the singer would in real life. Sharon said they'll be taking the Ozzy avatar around the world so people can talk to him. She also said that "Elvis Presley died 50 years ago, and everybody knows who Elvis is," adding "I just want that for Ozzy."
ELTON, YORKE, FENDER: Honored at Ivors
Elton John, Thom Yorke of Radiohead, Sam Fender and George Michael were among the honorees at the 2026 Ivor Novello Awards, which honor UK songwriters, Thursday in London.
Fender was named Songwriter of the Year and was given the award by Elton. Then while John was on stage he was presented with an Ivors Academy Honor in recognition of "his outstanding work championing songwriters, composers, and creativity across the music industry." Then the Academy announced that John would be become its first-ever president, a newly created role that will see him represent the Academy in "championing the value of music creation and advocating for the rights and recognition of music creators worldwide."
Thom Yorke and George Micheal were both given a Fellowship of the Ivors Academy. Yorke was on hand to accept and to perform at the end of the night, while Wham!'s Andrew Ridgeley accepted on behalf of Michael, who died in 2016. Also Lola Young received the PRS for Music Most Performed Work Award for ”Messy" and Linda Perry received the Special International Award.

The Offspring have announced two special concerts called “Just the Punk Stuff!” on August 3rd in Quebec City and August 5th in Montreal. The band says, "We’re going to play only the punk stuff, the old stuff, the songs dear to us — our roots, the place we came from."

With this past Tuesday marking the 50th anniversary of the release of Billy Joel’s fourth album, Turnstiles — May 19th, 1976 — he’s posted a video on Instagram showing him talking about one of the album’s songs, "Miami 2017 (Seen the Lights Go Out on Broadway)" at his Masterclass at University of Pennsylvania when he had hair.
