Watch 8-Year-Old's Amazing Led Zeppelin Drum Cover

The latest child musical phenom to blow people's minds with skill beyond her years is 8-year-old Yoyoka Soma from Japan.

Yoyoka recently shared a near note-perfect drum cover of Led Zeppelin's "Good Times, Bad Times" as part of the Hit Like a Girl drum contest.

Yoyoka said in the description of her entry via Vimeo that she dreams of being "the best drummer in the world." Her ambition and pure joy at the drum throne shines through in her video.

Not only does Yoyoka dutifully recreate John Bonham's polyrhythmic approach to the tune with triplet kicks and steady 8th notes on the cowbell, she does it all with some showmanship and a great big smile.

The Hit Like a Girl contest is an international contest to showcase the greatest female drummers in the world.

While first prize in the contest went to 13-year-old Yuki Ogawa, Yoyoka did take home a prize at the contest's Week 6 winner in the <18 division. Surely Yoyoka can win someday if she keeps at it.

Yoyoka began drummer at 2 years old and started a band with her family at age 5. She says she also wants to learn other instruments and eventually become a sound engineer and visual artist, in addition to a performer.

"I want to become friends with people all over the world through my musical activities!" she writes.

Good luck, Yoyoka!
