KISS bassist Gene Simmons worked with Eddie and Alex Van Halen on demos for the band's 1977 Love Gun album.
Soon those demos will finally be seeing the light of day, as Simmons prepares to release his massive box set, The Vault, later this year.
The songs in question are "Christine Sixteen" and "Got Love For Sale," according to Van Halen News Desk.
Simmons explained to Rolling Stone in 2016 that the Van Halens did him a favor by coming to the 1976 session.
"I was in Los Angeles, and I called Alex and Ed. 'Listen, I got three songs. I'm going in at 2 a.m. Do you want to help me?'" Simmons recalled. "Usually I put down all the parts, but I wanted to do three songs instead of one. So we did 'Christine Sixteen,' and I put the keyboards on, everything else. Ed did the solo to the rhythm guitar, bass, and Alex was on drums."
The Vault is scheduled for release on Sept. 12. The massive box set contains more than 150 never-before-released songs written by Simmons, going all the way back to when he was 14 years old.
The set includes 10 CDs of music as well as a Gene Simmons action figure, a medallion, a book with photos from his personal archive and a "surprise item."
"You're not going to believe the things we found," Simmons said.
