Watch Chris Cornell's Daughter Sing Tearful "Hallelujah" on GMA

Toni Cornell joined OneRepublic onstage at Good Morning America Friday morning to sing a stirring version of "Hallelujah" in memory of her father Chris Cornell and his good friend Chester Bennington.

"Chester sang this at Chris' funeral and this is arguably one of the greatest songs written in the last 50 years..." OneRepublic singer Ryan Tedder told GMA's Michael Strahan. "It's a very special song to us and, I think, to most people and to Toni as well."

"It's an honor to perform this for my dad and for Chester and to sing for them," the 12-year-old Toni told Strahan.

"Hallelujah," written by Leonard Cohen, is already an emotion song, and given the circumstances, it looks like pretty much everyone in the audience was crying before the performance  began.

You're probably crying now, just thinking about it. We're definitely crying.

Chris Cornell and Bennington were two of the most recognizable rock voices of their respective generations and good friends.

Cornell, 52, died by suicide on May 18. Bennington, 41, died by suicide on July 20, what would have been Cornell's 53rd birthday.

Bennington's widow, Talinda, took to Twitter Thursday to thank all parties involved for the tribute.

"Be still and you will feel them sing within you too," she wrote

Toni Cornell sang with her father onstage many times. And at a young age, she's already a kind of powerhouse just like her dad.
